Dr. John Stabel graduated from Walla Wall College in 1988 with a Bachelor of Arts in Mathematics. He then earned his M.D. from Loma Linda University School of Medicine in 1992.Dr. Stabel completed his internship in 1993 at San Bernadino County Medical Center, and his residency at University of Colorado Health Sciences Center in 1996. During his training, Dr. Stabel received many honors to include the Ernest Zane Award for Outstanding Teaching in Ophthalmology, Alpha Omega Alpha and the Mathematics Department Award for Outstanding Senior. He is licensed to practice in California, Arizona, Colorado and Oregon. Dr. Stabel is Board Certified in Ophthalmology and VISX Laser Certified. Dr. Stabel has presented numerous times and was published in 1998.
Dr. Stabel is a member of the American Academy of Ophthalmology and the American Society of Cataract and Refractive Surgery. He is married with two children and enjoys tennis, running and water-skiing.
